I started as a shortwave listener at an early age and became a radio amateur in 2002. I got licensed in the US as KF5EYY since no individual licenses are issued in Tunisia. I used to operate from 3V8SS and 3V8BB radio clubs. I’m mainly interested in DXing and contesting, and have operated from NR5M, TA1/KF5EYY, RA/KF5EYY, YU/3V8SS, G0/3V8SS, and A71QND. Currently, I’m the president of the Association des Radio Amateur Tunisiens (ARAT).
Contesting is my main interest in Amateur Radio and being in WRTC is a life dream for me. I’m very proud to be representing the African Continent and, particularly, Tunisia in this competition. I’m most excited that I’ll be meeting friends and “radio stars” that I’ve been communicating with for the past 10 years.
