After 35 years of casual operating, I began contesting seriously in 1997. Since then I’ve been a regular every year on CW from ZF1A and ZF2AM in the Cayman Islands. For SSB and SS contests, I like to find teams that are in contention to win such as C5Z (CQWW 2003), PJ2T (CQWW 2009 and ARRL SSB 3 times) and W6YI (SS – 13 times).

This is my second WRTC, first as a referee at WRTC 2010 and now as a competitor. I’m looking forward to meeting all the guys I’ve worked so many times over the years. At age 68, this will probably be my last chance.
