I got my first ham license in 1979 while living in Minnesota. After 16 years of living in Wisconsin, I’m now coming up on 16 years in Ohio. Contesting, DXing, and DXpeditioning are my primary interests. As a result of these activities I’ve been fortunate to have traveled to six continents (need Antarctica!) while my job provides for regular travel to the Caribbean, Central and South America, with an occasional foray into the Pacific.
Like many, I’m sure, I’m looking forward to forging new friendships, renewing old ones, and, oh yeah…there’s this little radio contest thing too! 118 ops will jump into the mix, we’ll battle tooth and nail over run frequencies and multipliers, and 24 hours later we’ll be sharing the highlights (and possibly even some lowlights) with our fellow competitors. How cool is that?
