A group got together on June 30 at the WRTC2014 “north warehouse” to do some prep work on the tower sections to be used in the upcoming station test. Participants were W1KM, K2TE, N1YX, N9NC, KD1LE, N1SV, AB1xx (Sid), K1EP, and K1RX.

The team cleaned off any galvanizing burrs, made sure the sections fit together and that the bolt holes lined up, and marked each section with a serial number for tracking. This will make it that much easier (and faster) for the beam teams to quickly assemble the towers in the field.
