Dan has been a licensed Amateur Radio Operator for over 50 years and is active in several contests each year, member of the Florida Contest Group, and enjoys chasing rare DX. In his early days of Amateur Radio he was a VHF meteor scatter and EME enthusiast.
He is a retired executive from the telecom and wireless industry and has served on many industry committees such as the Cellular Telephone Industry Association Engineering Committee. Besides Amateur Radio, he stays very active enjoying family, traveling, camping, motorcycling, and kayaking.
Competing in amateur radio’s highest level of competition is an opportunity of a lifetime and an honor that I will never forget. Getting the chance to meet and socialize with some of the best operators in the world that I have worked many times but have never had to opportunity to meet in person will certainly be the highlight for me.
