I was born in Verdun and went to Brest Britany for my work. In my last job I had the opportunity to travel around the world. I’ve been to India, East and West Africa, the Middle East, South America, including Brazil and French Guyana and the West Indies (KP4, J6, 8P). I have one brother and am married to my wife Sandrine for three years.
I became a ham in 1995 and enjoyed 6 meters, 2 meters, and up, and also DXing and contesting. Through my last job I visited the ham club F6KHM, where everyone was very friendly with some members ready to operate on HF or VHF/UHF. Since then I often go there, particularly during VHF propagation or HF contests.
The first setup in our club wasn’t so big — just a normal ham station. One crazy club project was to be QRV in EME with a big dish that members of the club all bought. It was nice at first to work EME and hear our own echoes. After some years we turned a bit more to HF contesting. Without our super technician Xavier, F5TTU, we would never been in the WRTC competition this year. Thanks very much to him for making the station one of the most competitive in Europe, with little aluminum (no stacks).
It will be nice to visit the US for first time and to meet lot of hams who are coming from all over the world. Why not visit some other places and some of the greatest ham of the world?
