M0CFW/JK3GAD Kazunori “Kazu” Watanabe
I was first licensed in 1983 and started with 10W SSB only. At the start of my ham radio career I enjoyed mostly domestic contests. Entering University and joining JA3YKC gave me great experience in DX contesting and the opportunity to meet fellow contesters throughout the world.
I relocated to England in 1998. You can find me operating as M0CFW (also M5Z) single op, low-power in non-major contests from a central London flat using K3 and a 5 meter flag pole with ATU (CG3000). I also operate from MJ0CFW (MJ5Z) in RDXC and other contests.
I participated in WRTC 2000 as a competitor, in 2006 as a referee, and in 2010 as a competitor. I am looking forward to meeting top-class contest operators from all over the world. It will be a pleasure to compete.
